How cool is this?

Since 1995, the first Friday in March, which of course would be tomorrow, is the officially unofficial holiday of National Employee Appreciation Day.

It’s always good to thank and appreciate the people you work with – and we do our best here at Good News Pest Solutions to do just that – but sometimes it’s good to have a reminder.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, March is one of the biggest months for employees to be looking for other jobs. And although we can’t imagine it, we’re told that only a third of workers are “actively engaged” while they’re at work. And it’s probably no surprise that those numbers dipped during the past two years where so many were working remotely and helping teach their kids. So, maybe this holiday is more important than ever before.

Gallup also reports that productivity and sales increase between 10-20% if an employee has received positive acknowledgement of their work in the previous seven days. We think seven days is kind of a long time between compliments. Maybe that’s why our business is thriving - because we always treat our employees like family and make sure they know how much we value their contributions.
